First of all, thank you so much for checking out my blog! Everyone’s support seriously means the world to me. For my first post, I wanted to share a little bit of my journey leading up to my decision to go on the World Race. I grew up in the Christian faith, but I consistently let distractions, busyness, and my heavy workload get in the way of my relationship with the Lord. This past spring, I made the decision to stop living a life of lukewarm Christianity and to fully surrender my plans to what God had for me instead. And boy did He have big plans! My life was wholly transformed by the presence of Jesus, and I walked back into school a completely different person than I was just a few months prior. I struggled to adjust, knowing I wasn’t where I was supposed to be anymore. Prompted by something I can only explain as the Holy Spirit, I took the steps to graduate early and answered the call to mission that the Lord placed in my heart by jumping headfirst into this wild and crazy journey. I plan to share what the Lord has done, is doing, and will do, to the countries of Ecuador and Colombia, as well as be the hands and feet of Christ during my next season. I am truly glad to give up my own way, take up my cross, and follow the path that God has for me. 🙂
“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.'”
